hello world! this is my first ever blog post on nicspace.net and im excited! ngl the site is in a horrible state right now, but i wanted to journal a bit and post it before i get all perfectionist. my friend kaden recommended i make a personal website for fun so i went for it. (shout out kthej.com). theres a lot of stuff in my life that im trying to figure out at the moment. my relationship of a year and a half just ended and im struggling mentally to find things that make me happy. i love programming tho so im giving this a try. ive also been really into music lately (some would say to an annoying degree) and im going to buy a jaguar style guitar soon. im currently in my home town for winter break and it has been soooo fun to see all my highschool friends again. i really don't want to go back to college because i didn't make any friends at all my first semester and am extremely lonely out there. im hoping to buy a car soon because that would mean i could travel again and traveling is the best thing ever. i want to visit the redwood forest or the beach so bad.
i need to make a music page so i can rant about songs and albums but for now im gonna do it here. i love the band Her's. like so much. holy peak. they do a chill surf pop vibe and it is amazing. please listen to both of their albums i swear you wont regret it. another band recommendation or i guess person recommendation would be Nick Rattigan of Current Joys and Surf Curse. Current Joy's album Wild Heart is just an amazing wave of sadness that washes over you. a perfectly ideal album for accepting the sadness.
being back at my hometown in indiana has been a huge treat. the other day me and a couple friends went to the mall and i had a great time. it was my first time going to a hot topic or spencers (the back was terrifying) and it was some of the most fun ive had in a while. i really look forward to continuing these blog posts, so i hope to see you in the future!
